Youth Boys Equipment
Good overview here from Lacrosse Monkey.
Equipment below is required to play.

Do Not Buy!
Girls lacrosse stick. Boys netting is a deep pocket with a head that is more flat. The ball will sit in the netting below the top of the head. A girls stick has a curved head with a small pocket. The ball will sit above the netting when sitting in the pocket.

Pay Attention
There are two youth sticks out there. There is a "Fiddle" stick where the shaft diameter is much smaller than the shafts used in youth lacrosse. Do not buy these. They are generally under $50 at stores. Ask the coach, director, or email the program to verify the equipment you purchase.
Important, helmet and shoulder pads must be NOCSAE certified.
